Losing $600 million in one month.. What happened to Naguib Sawiris’s wealth?

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed that the wealth of Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris declined to $11.3 billion during the month of June, compared to about $11.9 billion last month.

According to the data, Sawiris lost about $600 million in one month, as a result of fluctuations and instability of gold prices.

Naguib Sawiris ranked fifth on Forbes’ list of Arab billionaires for the year 2026, with a net worth estimated at about $5.6 billion, behind his brother Nassef Sawiris, whose wealth is estimated at about $9.6 billion.
