Qatar confirms that what is being circulated regarding the closure of its airspace is incorrect

The General Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar confirmed that what is being circulated on social media regarding the closure of Qatar’s airspace or the suspension of flights is incorrect.

The Authority explained in a statement today that the content of the navigational notice (NOTAM) in force aims to identify alternative air routes to ensure the continuation of air navigation services with the highest levels of safety and efficiency, in light of the current conditions, and in accordance with approved international standards and practices.
