9 people were injured in an armed attack near the England national team’s residence

Press reports said that 9 people were injured in a shooting near the residence of the England national team, which is preparing to compete in the World Cup finals in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Athletic newspaper said: “The police received a report about an incident that occurred on Troost Street, a short drive from the training headquarters and the team hotel where the England team will be staying during the tournament, at around four o’clock in the morning on Saturday.”

She added: “Kansas City Police Chief, Jake Pecchina, confirmed that police officers were sent after hearing gunshots. Upon their arrival, they found a large crowd that had dispersed. Three adult women were injured and taken to the hospital.”

She continued: “It later became clear that nine adults were taken to different local hospitals with non-serious injuries, and that no suspects were arrested, but the police are continuing their patrols at the site.”

The England national team players and crew are currently in Palm Beach, Florida, completing their preparations for the World Cup.
