Schools direct students to update the “safe browser” in preparation for the third semester exams

Educational schools sent messages and notices to students and parents urging them to quickly update the “Secure Browser” and ensure the readiness of their electronic devices, as part of the intensive preparations for the third semester exams scheduled to be held electronically during the period from June 24 until next July 3.

The schools confirmed that updating the secure browser is one of the basic requirements for performing electronic tests, given its role in ensuring full compatibility with central digital examination systems and providing a stable and secure technical environment that contributes to reducing the technical problems that students may face while taking the tests.

Updated version
School administrations stressed the importance of ensuring that the updated version of the browser is installed on the approved ministerial devices, in addition to the personal devices that students may resort to as an alternative if their ministerial devices are exposed to any sudden technical malfunctions, calling for not waiting until the exam date to make the necessary updates.

She explained that prior technical readiness represents one of the main factors in the success of electronic tests, as it allows students to access the examination platforms easily and avoid malfunctions or compatibility problems that may affect the conduct of the test or distract students’ focus during the evaluation period.

In this context, education providers have provided direct links to download and update the secure browser according to the type of device used, where a link has been allocated for users of computers running the “Windows” system, and another for users of “Mac” devices, in addition to the “SwiftAssess” application designated for tablets running the “Android” system.

Operating systems
The schools called on the students to try operating the browser and ensure that it works properly before the start of the exam period, while verifying the integrity of the devices and charging them, and updating the operating systems and programs related to the electronic exams, in order to ensure that the exams are performed in a stable environment free of technical problems.

She stressed that early preparation and ensuring the readiness of electronic devices and programs contribute to providing a more efficient and safe examination environment, and enhance students’ opportunities to focus on their academic performance away from any technical obstacles that may arise during the final examination period of the third semester.
