"Dubai Chamber of Commerce" Launching the Dubai Contracting Work Group to enhance the competitiveness of the sector

Dubai, June 10 / WAM / The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, announced today the establishment of the Dubai Contracting Business Group with the aim of supporting companies operating in the contracting sector and enhancing their contribution to economic development, in addition to providing a unified representative umbrella concerned with following up on their interests and issues.

The group will work to expand channels of communication and coordination with government agencies and the private sector, to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the contracting sector, and to contribute to putting forward proposals and recommendations aimed at developing the regulatory environment and enhancing the sustainability of the sector’s growth in the long term.

His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said that the establishment of the Dubai Contracting Business Group embodies the Dubai Chamber’s commitment to supporting strategic sectors that contribute to consolidating the emirate’s position as a leading global destination for business and investment, and its launch comes in light of the importance of the contracting sector as a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development process, and a major driver of infrastructure and urban development projects that support sustainable economic growth and enhance the quality of life in Dubai.

He explained that the goal of establishing the group is to provide an effective platform to enhance cooperation and exchange visions between companies operating in the contracting sector and concerned parties, which contributes to anticipating future opportunities, addressing challenges, and supporting efforts aimed at improving the sector’s competitiveness and efficiency, in line with Dubai’s development ambitions and long-term economic goals.

For his part, Abdullah Saeed Al Naboodah, Chairman of the Dubai Contracting Business Group, said that the contracting and construction sector constituted a fundamental driver in the development process witnessed by Dubai.
