Latifa bint Mohammed discusses with leaders of leading institutions in Sweden enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in vital sectors

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, held a series of meetings and field visits, as part of her visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, at the head of a high-level delegation that includes ministers and government officials.

During the meetings, ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences in vital sectors were discussed, in addition to exploring opportunities to build long-term partnerships, which contribute to the transfer of knowledge and the development of future policies and initiatives.

The meetings and field visits were attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, and Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, along with members of the delegation accompanying Her Highness.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with Swedish businessman Marcus Wallenberg, one of the most prominent economic figures in Sweden, who holds leadership positions in a number of major institutions and companies.

During the meeting, the most prominent global economic transformations were reviewed, the factors stimulating innovation and investment were discussed, the role of the private sector in supporting sustainable development and enhancing the competitiveness of economies, promising opportunities in future sectors, and ways to attract talent, competencies and qualitative investments.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and her accompanying delegation, visited the headquarters of Luvable, which specializes in artificial intelligence solutions, which is considered one of the fastest growing companies in the field of developing applications and websites via text commands using artificial intelligence techniques.

During the visit, Her Highness was briefed on the latest solutions and technologies developed by the company, and the mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence to simplify software development processes and accelerate innovation.

Her Highness listened to an explanation about the company’s future vision in expanding the use of artificial intelligence to empower innovators and entrepreneurs and enhance the digital economy.

Her Highness also visited the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm and learned about its experience in documenting the achievements of laureates of the prestigious award and highlighting the contributions of scientists, innovators and creators in various fields.

Her Highness learned about the role that the museum plays in promoting scientific culture and consolidating the status of research and innovation as essential elements in development and progress.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also visited the KTH Innovation Center, the innovative arm of the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.

During the visit, Her Highness was briefed on the innovation system adopted by the center to support researchers, students and entrepreneurs, and enable them to transform ideas and scientific research into emerging companies and projects with an economic and societal impact.
