Work begins to remove Trump’s name from the front of the Kennedy Center in Washington

Today, Saturday, the work of removing the name of US President Donald Trump from the facade of the prestigious Kennedy Center auditorium in Washington began, in implementation of a decision issued by the federal judiciary.

The work began after an American federal judge on Friday rejected a request submitted by the Board of Directors of the Kennedy Center and the Ministry of Justice to stop the implementation of a decision he issued that ordered the removal of the president’s name from the building of the prestigious auditorium in Washington.
On Monday, the Kennedy Center removed Trump’s name from its website.
A crowd gathered yesterday evening, Friday, in front of the institution, uttering shouts of welcome from time to time as workers were raising scaffolding to reach the sign. Thousands of Internet users also followed the scene on a live broadcast, anticipating the moment when Trump’s name would be removed from the interface.
But as the night progressed, Trump’s name remained on the forefront, as the center submitted a petition before midnight to extend the deadline given to remove him by 12 hours, according to what American media reported.
