The Secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the misleading media campaigns targeting the UAE and Qatar

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation of the biased media allegations and undocumented information being circulated targeting the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, and seeking to question their positions and their constructive role in supporting regional and international security and stability.

He stressed in a statement that these allegations lack credibility and objective foundations, and come to undermine the sincere efforts made by the GCC countries to establish security and stability and enhance dialogue and cooperation among the countries of the region.

He explained that the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar have provided, over the past years, a pioneering model in adopting policies that support regional stability, through their effective contributions in bringing viewpoints closer together, supporting diplomatic endeavors, and enhancing international cooperation to address the challenges and crises taking place in the region, reflecting a responsible approach aimed at establishing security and achieving development and prosperity for its people.

He stressed that the GCC countries are continuing steadfastly in their approach based on enhancing stability and cooperation, and that they categorically reject any media campaigns aimed at insulting any member of them, and will not affect their cohesion and unity or their continuation of performing their pivotal role in supporting security, stability and prosperity at the regional and international levels.
