US oil reserves fall to their lowest level in more than 40 years

Strategic crude oil inventories in the United States have reached their lowest level in more than 40 years, according to a document issued by the Department of Energy, amid unrest in Supplies.
On June 12, US strategic oil fell to only 340.3 million barrels, a level not seen since July 1983.
Washington pledged to gradually release 172 million barrels out of 415 million barrels that constituted strategic reserves at the end of February to ease supply tensions against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East.
