The UAE is committed to working with partners to enhance global security and stability

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, participated in the work of the Group of Seven Summit in its fifty-second session, which is hosted by the French Republic in the city of Evian during the period from 15 to 17 June 2026.

The leaders of the countries of the group, which includes the French Republic, the United States of America, the Italian Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan, participated in the summit, in addition to a number of countries participating as guests.

His Highness the President delivered a speech on the occasion of his participation in the summit, during which he stressed that the UAE will remain committed to working side by side with its partners to promote peace, security, stability, confidence and development at the global level.

His Highness said: I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, for his good hosting and generous invitation to participate in the work of this summit. I am also pleased to meet friends and partners and to be with you today in light of these difficult challenges.

His Highness added: We meet today at a time when our region is witnessing deep turmoil and an unprecedented state of accelerating challenges, the effects of which extend beyond the borders of the region to affect various parts of the world. We also express our appreciation to the members of the G7 and our partners around the world for the various forms of support they provided at a time when my country was defending itself in the face of thousands of treacherous Iranian attacks with missiles and drones over six consecutive weeks on civilian targets.

His Highness said that the crisis we are experiencing today has proven that the current challenges require concerted efforts and joint work with others, not in isolation from them. It also confirms that flexible supply chains, safe trade routes, and highly efficient infrastructure are indispensable pillars for enhancing our ability to thrive. It also confirms that maintaining global stability is not just a common interest, but a collective responsibility that falls on all of us.

In this context, His Highness appreciated the efforts of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, which contributed to reaching the agreement on a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, stressing that continued and sustainable peace in the region is based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the principles of good neighborliness, and full adherence to the rules of international law, in a way that enhances security, stability and prosperity for all.

His Highness the President of the State said that we have tremendous potential to expand the scope of our cooperation in areas that will lead the process of progress in the future, including transformation in the energy sector, artificial intelligence, and economic development, which are areas in which the UAE has been a reliable partner with a forward-looking vision for the future.

His Highness stressed that our participation today embodies our commitment to continuing to strengthen this partnership, and investing in innovation, interconnectedness and the ability to adapt as they are essential pillars for a more prosperous future.

His Highness added: We are confident that this summit will constitute an incentive to strengthen our cooperation in these areas, thus contributing to consolidating stability and enhancing successes and prosperity in our regions.
