Trump declares “it’s over for Iran” and confirms the complete destruction of its military capabilities

In firm statements that reflect an escalation in his rhetoric and confidence in his negotiating position, US President Donald Trump announced that “the matter with Iran is over,” stressing that the recent operations have stripped Tehran of its main military capabilities. He also directed harsh criticism at Democratic lawmakers opposed to his steps.

Military paralysis and complete financial blockade

In his statements, Trump stressed that the Iranian military machine had been severely hit, noting that the war had weakened Iran to the point that it no longer had “an air force, no navy, and no air defenses.”

On the financial and temporal level, Trump decided on his position on any possible concessions, stressing strict adherence to the specified timetable and continuing maximum pressure, as he announced: “We will go until the end of the 60-day deadline, and they will not receive any money, not even 10 cents.”

Sitting at the negotiating table from a position of strength

In the context of his talk about the behind-the-scenes meetings with the Iranian side, Trump categorically denied that his administration had sought to communicate under any pressure, putting Tehran in a position of absolute weakness by saying: “We did not meet with Iran out of desperation, but it was Iran that was desperate.”

A scathing attack on the internal opposition

Domestically, Trump did not protect his political opponents from direct attacks. He responded to criticism of his policies and the Iran deal in harsh terms, calling Democratic lawmakers who criticize the deal “stupid.”
