Mohammed bin Rashid reconstitutes the Board of Directors of the “Etihad Export Credit” Company, headed by Thani Al-Zeyoudi

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, approved a decision to reconstitute the Board of Directors of the Etihad Export Credit Company, headed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade.
The Board of Directors includes Ahmed Mohammed Al Naqbi, CEO of the Emirates Development Bank, Khalil Fadel Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Export Office, Mohammed Ali Al Kamali, CEO of Trade and Industry at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Mohammed Sharaf, Executive Director of Investment Attraction Operations at the Department of Economy and Tourism in the Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Port and Customs Department in the Emirate of Ajman, and Sheikh Omar bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Executive Director, Office of Investment and Development. In the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Maryam Abdullah Al Matroushi, Deputy Director of the Financial Department for Government Finance Affairs in the Emirate of Fujairah, Mohammed Al Marzouqi, CEO of HSBC Bank, United Arab Emirates, Omar Al Amin, CEO of Orient Insurance, Rula Abu Menna, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE, the Middle East and Pakistan, and Bart Partin, a member of the Executive Committee of the Coface Group.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi stressed that restructuring the company’s board of directors is an important step to continue developing its policy and business, and working to achieve institutional goals to facilitate the flow of UAE exports to global markets.
He said that the Council, with its leadership cadres and specialized expertise in various sectors, will work with dedication and sincerity to achieve the company’s vision and mission in enabling local exports and supporting non-oil foreign trade, in a way that enhances the sustainable growth of the national economy and serves the country’s development process.
He added that, thanks to the forward-looking vision and sound directives of our wise leadership, the UAE is moving forward in consolidating its presence as one of the most prominent trade, export and re-export poles at the regional and global levels. Based on our national responsibilities and in line with our vision, the company will continue to contribute to the sustainable growth of non-oil foreign trade activities, export and re-export as engines of sustainable economic development, by consolidating our strategic partnerships and enhancing our solutions and programs in export insurance and trade financing, including: It is in line with the national economic and trade targets of the UAE.
In turn, Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of Etihad Export Credit Company, said that the restructuring of the company’s board of directors constitutes an important step in its journey, as the new board of directors is filled with leaders with significant experience in the field of government work, and in a number of financial, investment, banking and credit sectors, led by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade. The company will continue to consolidate its role as a major driver of growth in foreign trade and non-oil exports, in line with the state’s goals in driving sustainable growth of the national economy and enhancing Its diversity.
