Trump accuses vandals of using chemicals to damage the Lincoln Memorial pool

US President Donald Trump accused “vandals” of using chemicals to damage the “reflection pool” (Reflecting Pool) newly renovated building near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
According to Fox, Trump explained that the vandalism affected the inner surface of the pool and the grass surrounding it, noting that law enforcement authorities are conducting active investigations into the incident. This development comes a few weeks after the completion of a restoration project for the pond at a cost of $14.8 million, and following a previous vandalism incident that included engraving messages lined in the grass in the National Mall area.
The US President confirmed that the competent authorities were able to remove 75% of the algae that appeared in the pond recently as a result of vandalism, pledging to repair the entire affected area early next week.
