54 injured and 18 missing in the accident that occurred in a factory in Ras Laffan

The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that the number of people injured in the accident that occurred at a factory in the Ras Laffan Industrial Area yesterday evening reached 54 people.

The Qatar News Agency quoted the Ministry as clarifying in a post on its official account on the “X” platform that the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group affiliated with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), in cooperation with the Civil Defense teams, is currently conducting search operations for 18 missing persons.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior had previously stated that the accident resulted from a technical malfunction during operation, without any leakage occurring that would pose a threat to the safety of individuals.
