UAE: June 30 is the deadline for achieving Emiratisation targets in the private sector for the first half of 2026

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation reiterated that June 30 is the deadline for private sector companies that have 50 or more workers to achieve their commitments to Emiratisation targets for the first half of the current year 2026.
Emiratisation targets are a national policy that aims to enhance the participation of Emirati cadres in the private sector by achieving a growth rate of 2% in skilled jobs in the targeted companies annually, achieved at a rate of 1% for the first half and the same for the second half of each year.
The Ministry called on the targeted companies to take advantage of the Nafs platform, which is full of citizens seeking work from various specializations, which meets the companies’ requirements for qualified and trained cadres and those with specializations..
The Ministry indicated that Emiratisation policies are an essential pillar for achieving the state’s ambitious economic strategies and its pioneering directions for the future, and that it is continuing its journey and will not stop, stressing the pivotal role of partnership with the private sector in achieving the objectives of qualitative Emiratisation policies, in enhancing competitiveness, sustainable growth, and achieving the effective participation of citizens in the labor market, expressing its confidence in the ability of companies and their compliance with their obligations in light of the reality of accelerated economic development and sustainable growth that the country is witnessing in all business sectors..
The Ministry stressed the continuation of providing benefits and competitive advantages to companies that achieve exceptional results in Emiratisation, by including them in the membership of the Emiratisation Partners Club, thus benefiting from financial discounts of up to 80% on the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s service fees, and giving them priority in the government procurement system, which enhances the opportunities for their business to grow..
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is scheduled to begin applying financial contributions to non-compliant companies as of next July 1, amounting to 10,000 dirhams per month, equivalent to 120,000 dirhams annually for every citizen who has not been appointed in private sector companies..
The Ministry warned against attempting to manipulate nationalization targets, and resorting to sham localization, which is considered a serious violation in the labor market, pointing to the pioneering digital and field inspection system and its ability to monitor violations and transgressions that will be dealt with firmly, in accordance with the law and applicable legislation..
