Argentina defeats Austria and qualifies for the round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup

Dallas (United States) on June 22 / WAM / The defending champion Argentina national team has reserved its place in the round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after defeating the Austria national team 2-0 today at Dallas Stadium, in the second round of Group 10 of the tournament currently being held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

The Argentine national team raised its score to 6 points at the top of the group, ensuring qualification to the next round before playing its last match in the first round, while the Austria national team’s score froze at 3 points.
