Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi witnesses the closing ceremony of the activities of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services
Sharjah, June 23 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler, in the presence of Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, witnessed the closing ceremony of the city’s activities for the academic year 2025-2026, at the Palace of Culture Theater.
Sheikha Jameela bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, stressed that the city’s continuous successes would not have been achieved without the great support it enjoys from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and close cooperation with strategic partners, supporters and various community institutions, noting that community partnership represents a fundamental pillar in enhancing the quality of services, expanding their positive impact, and consolidating a culture of inclusion and equal opportunities.
The President of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services expressed her pride in the students and graduates who crowned a year full of diligence, giving, and achievement, and that what was achieved is the result of a strong will, diligent work, and a true partnership that brought together the students, their families, educational and rehabilitation staff, and the city’s partners from government, private, and community institutions.
Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi said: Today we celebrate the harvest of an academic year full of successes that confirm that investing in people is the highest and most sustainable investment, and that people with disabilities possess the energies and capabilities that qualify them for active participation and influential contributions to the development process whenever they are provided with fair opportunities and supportive environments, pointing out that Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, since its establishment, has been working according to a vision based on empowerment, inclusion and advocacy, and is constantly striving to build… An integrated system of quality services that guarantees persons with disabilities their right to education, rehabilitation, and full participation in society, based on a firm belief that human diversity is a source of strength and enrichment for societies.
The President of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services congratulated the graduates and their families, wishing them further excellence and success, stressing that the city will continue its humanitarian and development mission in supporting and empowering people with disabilities, and enhancing their presence as active partners in the process of sustainable development.
The closing ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by the recitation of fragrant verses from the Holy Quran, after which Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi honored nine graduates of the Al Amal School for the Deaf, affiliated with the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, congratulating them on their graduation and wishing them a successful life in the future. He also honored a number of parents and families of the students in appreciation of their pivotal role as partners in the process of success and empowerment, and is the official sponsor. The head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler and the attendees watched a video presentation in which a number of the students’ parents spoke about their sons and daughters, in which they expressed their thanks to the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, which provided them with full support, development, and the desired scientific progress.
The students of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services presented a theatrical performance entitled “My Brother,” which addressed, through a human dramatic treatment, issues of disability, family, loss, acceptance, and responsibility, through the story of two brothers united by blood ties and separated by accumulated feelings of pain and misunderstanding, before a long journey leads them towards reconciliation and discovering the true meaning of love.
Upon his arrival, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi toured the Art for All Center “Falaj” exhibition, which included 30 paintings created by talented students at the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, in which they discussed their ideas about life, the environment, friendship, and other human values.
