"Dubai Electricity" Exploring cooperation in the energy and infrastructure sector with Türkiye

Dubai, June 23 / WAM / His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and His Excellency Lutfullah Goktas, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the UAE, during the meeting held at the Authority’s headquarters in Dubai, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Authority and Turkish companies in the energy, water and infrastructure sectors, and to benefit from promising investment opportunities in areas of common interest.

During the meeting, which was attended by Engineer Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President of the Business Development and Excellence Sector, His Excellency reviewed the pioneering strategies and projects implemented by the Authority in the fields of clean and renewable energy, especially the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which is the largest solar energy park in one location in the world, and is consistent with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality 2050 Strategy for the Emirate of Dubai.

He pointed to the successive developments in the energy sector in the UAE, its pioneering role in adopting the latest technologies and sustainable energy solutions, and its pioneering experience in water desalination and water resources management, stressing the importance of exchanging experiences and knowledge between the two sides in these vital fields.

For his part, His Excellency the Turkish Ambassador praised the distinguished achievements made by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in the fields of energy, water and sustainability, expressing his country’s interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Authority in various development and investment projects.
