Emirates Airlines won three awards during the Business Traveler Middle East Awards 2026, which is the “Best Airline in the World” award, in addition to the “Best First Class” and “Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East” awards for the airline’s first class lounge at Dubai International Airport.
The Business Traveler Middle East Awards are one of the specialized awards in the travel sector in the region, as they honor leading organizations in the field of business travel based on nominations and votes from the magazine’s readers.
The prestigious awards were received on behalf of the carrier by Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Operations Officer at Emirates Airlines.
According to the carrier, these awards reflect Emirates’ continued commitment to investing in developing the exceptional travel experience it provides, whether on the ground or in the air.
The carrier continues to implement its program to modernize the fleet at an accelerated pace, as the program currently includes 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft, in addition to continuing to receive new Airbus A350 aircraft that allow the provision of the latest cabin products and advanced technologies across an increasing number of destinations within its global network, which extends to approximately 140 destinations.
The updated aircraft and new Airbus A350 aircraft today serve more than 70 destinations within Emirates’ global network.
Emirates Airlines confirmed its continued investments in developing its products, services and global network to enhance its leadership position in the aviation sector. As part of this trend, the carrier recently began providing high-speed Internet service “Starlink” on board its aircraft, and with the completion of the program it will operate the largest international fleet of wide-body aircraft equipped with this technology in the world.
So far, 36 aircraft have been equipped with the service, allowing customers to stream content, make calls, work, play electronic games, and browse social media throughout the flight.
Emirates Airlines also recently launched the “Comprehensive Travel Insurance” programme, a product that provides additional levels of protection and reassurance to travellers.
