Launching the “Receiving and Delivering Guests at the Dubai Sea” initiative to enhance the maritime transport experience

The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation has launched a new initiative for Dubai Seafarers, which is to provide the service of “receiving and delivering guests to the Dubai Sea” in a distinguished step that reflects its continued commitment to improving the quality of maritime services provided by the Dubai Maritime Authority, and enhancing Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for marine tourism.
Through this service, guests will be provided with transportation between participating marinas, private boats and yachts registered with the Authority, and visiting foreign yachts authorized to sail in the emirate’s waters.
The Dubai Maritime Authority began implementing the initiative with the participation of a number of major marinas in the emirate, namely Port Rashid Marina, Jumeirah Marina 1, Dubai Harbor Marina, and Jebel Ali Hotel Marina. The service can be requested around the clock directly from the marina management in accordance with clear regulatory requirements that ensure the safety of operations and smooth implementation, and the attachment of the required documents such as ownership of the marine craft, the sailing permit for the visiting foreign craft, and other documents.
The service provides advanced solutions to receive and deliver guests to and from the 3,491 private marine vessels registered with the Dubai Maritime Authority, in addition to visiting foreign yachts authorized to sail in the waters of the emirate, ensuring a comfortable and smooth transportation experience that reflects the level of development witnessed by the maritime sector in Dubai.
Mohammed Nabhan, Director of the Maritime Excellence and Compliance Department at the Dubai Maritime Authority, said that the initiative contributes to enhancing the smooth movement of private marine vessels and their guests between various destinations within the emirate, supports integration between marine marinas and tourism and entertainment activities, and improves operational efficiency and quality of services provided, thus enhancing the experience of Dubai Sea guests and establishing standards of excellence in the maritime transport sector.
Nabhan added that this initiative is a qualitative addition to the range of services provided by the Dubai Maritime Authority, as it provides an integrated experience for guests of private marine vessels as well as foreign vessels visiting the emirate. Dubai continues to invest in developing its marine infrastructure and enhancing the integration of its services, which supports the growth of the tourism sector and maritime economy, and reflects the emirate’s pioneering position as a global center for innovation, excellence and leadership in various vital sectors.
