"Sharjah Economy" A tax workshop is held in cooperation with the Federal Tax Authority
Sharjah, June 25 / WAM / The Sharjah Economic Development Department, in cooperation with the Federal Tax Authority, organized today a tax work workshop during which the legislative framework of the country’s tax system was reviewed and the legislation and procedures related to value-added tax were highlighted and the role that the Authority plays with regard to the management, collection and implementation of federal taxes based on the best standards.
The organization of the workshop comes within the framework of the keenness of both sides to enhance direct communication with customers and obtain their opinions and suggestions in a way that contributes to developing services, raising the level of efficiency and improving the customer experience.
A number of representatives of companies and institutions from the private sector participated in the workshop, where the services and procedures related to issuing tax certificates and registering tax groups were reviewed, in addition to discussing a number of related topics, answering participants’ inquiries, and clarifying the procedures and requirements associated with these services.
It also included an open dialogue between the participants and representatives of the two entities, during which observations and suggestions related to the services provided were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation were discussed in order to support the achievement of best practices in providing government services and contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction.
The department confirmed that organizing such workshops comes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with various government agencies and the private sector and provide effective communication channels that allow identifying customers’ needs and aspirations, which contributes to developing the business environment and supporting the emirate’s competitiveness.
