As of September 20, Morocco cancels daylight saving time and returns to Greenwich Mean Time

The Moroccan government announced, on Thursday, the permanent cancellation of daylight saving time and the return to Greenwich Mean Time, starting next September 20.
Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch said that the decision came after government consultations and meetings, stressing that it aims to harmonize the country’s official time with the needs of Moroccans and improve their living conditions.
Morocco used the daylight saving time system throughout the year by moving the clock hands forward by adding an hour to the official time, with the exception of the month of Ramadan, during which the clock was moved back to Greenwich Mean Time to facilitate fasting and worship times.
