Germany breaks a new temperature record of 41.7 degrees

The German Meteorological Service announced, based on preliminary data, that temperatures in the country set a new record for the third day in a row, as the highest preliminary temperature reached 41.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon in the town of Neissemunde in the Oder-Spree region in the state of Brandenburg, eastern Germany.
