Khaleeji Bank announces the appointment of Razi Al-Mirbati as CEO

Khaleeji Bank, one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the appointment of Razi Al-Mirbati to the position of CEO of the bank, in addition to his position as a member of the bank’s Board of Directors, to assume his duties starting August 17, 2026.

Razi Al-Mirbati has extensive banking and investment experience spanning more than 21 years in the banking and financial sector, during which he held prominent leadership positions in local and regional financial institutions, with a distinguished professional record in the fields of Islamic investments, advisory services, private banking services, wealth management and private investments, in addition to his membership in the Board of Directors of Khaleeji Bank since 2025.

Prior to assuming his new position at Khaleeji Bank, Al Mirbati served as CEO of GFH Capital and Head of Investment Placement and Relationship Management at GFH Bank (formerly GFH Financial Group). He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Khaleeji Bank, Esterad Investment Company, in addition to a number of companies affiliated with the GFH Group.

On this occasion, Yousef Abdullah Taqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khaleeji Bank, said: “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Razi Al-Mirbati to his new position as CEO of Khaleeji Bank, and we look forward with confidence to the profound leadership and banking experience he will add to support the bank’s journey during the next stage.
