Most US stocks rose as technology stocks fell

New York, July 1, 2017: The majority of US stocks rose in afternoon trading today, while major indices declined as a result of a decline in technology company stocks.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index, the broader index of US stocks, recovered its small early losses, which were 0.1%, to settle unchanged in afternoon trading.

While the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 57 points, or 0.1%, by 2:14 p.m. East Coast time in the United States, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell by 0.3%.
