With ten players, America surpasses Bosnia by two and sets up a match with Belgium in the 16th final

The American national team booked its place in the eighth final of the 2026 World Cup after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 2-0, in a confrontation during which it completed more than half an hour with ten players, setting up a date with the Belgium national team in the next round, after showing a strong personality and defensive solidity despite the numerical deficiency.
The hosts finished the first half ahead with a goal scored by Folarin Balogun in the 45th minute, after having a relative advantage and creating several opportunities, while the Bosnian national team tried to return to the atmosphere of the match, but it collided with an American defensive organization and the distinguished presence of goalkeeper Matt Freese.
The American team suffered a strong blow in the 64th minute after the match referee showed the red card in Balogun’s face after reviewing the video referee technology, forcing the team to complete the match with ten players, but that did not prevent it from maintaining its balance and closing the spaces in front of the Bosnian team’s attempts.
Despite the numerical deficiency, Malik Tillman succeeded in securing victory by scoring the second goal from a wonderful free kick in the 82nd minute, leading America to a well-deserved victory and qualifying for the 16th final, where it awaits a strong confrontation against the Belgium national team in a struggle for passage to the quarter-finals.
