"Sharjah Chamber" She reviews with the Ambassador of Belgium the process of economic cooperation

Sharjah, 2 July / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry reviewed the process of distinguished economic cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Kingdom of Belgium during a meeting with His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and His Excellency Antoine Delcour, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the country, during a meeting on the occasion of the end of his work duties.
The meeting, which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber, Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for the Business and Communications Sector, and a number of officials.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Belgian Ambassador for his tireless and distinguished efforts during his period of work in the UAE and his effective contributions in supporting and developing economic relations between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Kingdom of Belgium, praising the continuous and fruitful cooperation between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Sharjah Chamber and the active support for many joint initiatives, events and forums organized by the Chamber with the aim of developing partnerships and cooperation between private sector institutions and the business community in the Emirates. And Belgium.
His Excellency appreciated the positive and effective role played by His Excellency Ambassador Antoine Delcour in strengthening bridges of communication and cooperation between the business communities in Sharjah and Belgium and the constant and tangible keenness he expressed to support joint economic initiatives, which directly contributed to opening new and promising horizons for cooperation between the business communities and private sector institutions on both sides.
He expressed his aspiration to continue building on the joint achievements and gains achieved during the past period, thus contributing to pushing the economic and investment relations between Sharjah and Belgium towards more developed and prosperous levels.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber confirmed during the meeting that the Chamber continues to implement its ambitious strategy aimed at expanding its network of international relations and partnerships and consolidating the foundations of cooperation with various economic partners and vital markets around the world, which contributes to supporting the competitiveness of the business environment in the Emirate of Sharjah and enhances its leading position as an attractive global destination for investment and business.
For his part, the Belgian Ambassador expressed his thanks to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the close cooperation, continuous support, and great facilities he received throughout his period of work in the country, stressing that the economic and trade relations between Belgium and the Emirate of Sharjah witnessed remarkable development and continuous growth thanks to the common visions and constructive cooperation between the relevant economic institutions on both sides.
He praised the vital and pioneering role played by the Sharjah Chamber in building international partnerships, its continued support for the local and foreign business community, and its keenness to organize qualitative economic events and forums that had a prominent impact in consolidating the bonds of joint economic cooperation and providing an ideal environment for companies to invest and grow.
The meeting touched on the joint cooperation that resulted in the organization of the second session of the “Sharjah-Europe Businesswomen Forum”, which was hosted by the Belgian capital, Brussels, in 2024, in the historic Egmont Palace, with wide participation from Emirati and European women entrepreneurs. The forum formed a pioneering strategic platform for enhancing communication channels between businesswomen and entrepreneurs, exploring promising partnership and investment opportunities, and facilitating the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
