Brent crude futures rise at settlement

Brent crude futures rose 23 cents, or 0.32%, to settle at $71.80 per barrel.
US crude futures rose 11 cents, or 0.16%, to reach $68.69 per barrel upon settlement.
Brent crude futures for September delivery fell 1.4% to record $70.60 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude for August delivery fell 1.5% to reach $67.55 per barrel, which is the fourth negative trend in a row since March last year.
