The dollar is heading to record its largest weekly loss in about 3 months

Capitals, July 3 / WAM / Today, Friday, the dollar is heading to record its largest weekly decline in about three months.
The euro settled near its highest level in two weeks at $1.1442, while the British pound settled at $1.3361, heading for weekly gains of about 1.2%, the best in nearly three months.
The Australian dollar also moved to end a four-week losing streak, while the New Zealand dollar rose by about 1.2% during the week.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of major currencies, fell by 0.2% to 100.77, heading for a weekly loss of 0.58%, the largest since early April.
On the other hand, the Japanese yen rose to 161.01 against the dollar, moving away from its lowest levels in several decades after its strong gains in the previous session.
