Do not throw away the “Arabic, science and mathematics” books. They will be used again next year

The administrations of a number of public schools have stressed to students in the sixth, seventh, and ninth grades and their parents the necessity of keeping the third semester books for the Arabic language, science, and mathematics subjects, and not disposing of them or handing them over, in preparation for their reuse during the first semester of the academic year 2026-2027.
The schools confirmed, in letters sent to students and parents, which Emirates Today reviewed, that the decision comes in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Education, and within the framework of early preparations for the next academic year, ensuring a smooth transition between academic levels.
She explained that the procedure is based on repurposing a number of approved textbooks, the content of which will continue to be taught during the first semester of the new academic year, in a way that supports the quality of the educational process, enhances the optimal use of resources, and reduces waste.
She explained that keeping these books is an important organizational procedure, calling on students to keep them in good condition, and not to lose or destroy them, so that they are ready for use when studies begin in the next academic year.
The schools instructed students to keep a number of textbooks for further use during the next academic year, including the Integrated 1 textbook for mathematics for ninth grade students in the general track, and the Grammatical Applications book for Arabic language for sixth and seventh grade students in the general and advanced tracks.
The list also includes the Inspire Physical Science book for science for seventh grade students in the advanced track, in addition to the Integrated Science book for sixth and seventh grade students in the general track, within the framework of ensuring continuity of learning, enhancing integration between academic courses, and enabling students to benefit from these books in subsequent academic stages.
The departments stressed that this step comes within the framework of the Ministry’s vision aimed at enhancing continuity of learning, maintaining the integration of academic content between classrooms, in addition to rationalizing the use of educational resources, in order to achieve greater efficiency in managing educational materials and keep pace with best practices in sustainability.
She called on parents to follow up on their children and ensure that the books included in the directive are kept in a safe place, in preparation for reuse at the beginning of the first semester, stressing that adherence to these instructions contributes to supporting students’ readiness for the new academic year, and ensures continued benefit from the approved educational content without interruption.
