Dubai Summer Sale increases demand in shopping centers and revives sales by up to 30%

Shopping centers in Dubai have recently witnessed a remarkable turnout from consumer families, to take advantage of Dubai’s major summer sale offers, which come within the “Dubai Summer Surprises” activities, and are organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation.

In a tour of a number of shopping centres, Emirates Today observed a large consumer demand for the malls, with the start of the offers last Thursday, through the launch of the “12 Hours of Exclusive Discounts” event, while the momentum of demand for the centers continued during the weekend, supported by the continuation of the various offers in the stores, which included various discounts on ready-made clothes, electronic devices, shoes, leather bags, perfumes, and care and beauty products.

In turn, consumers told Emirates Today that the offers coincided with the period of preparation for the summer holidays, which provided opportunities to shop several times and buy holiday supplies, including gifts, pointing out that clothes, shoes and perfumes accounted for the largest share of the sales.

For their part, specialists in the retail trade sector reported that the offers contributed to increasing demand at significant rates, and revived retail sales at rates exceeding 30%, compared to previous periods, with expectations that the pace of demand will increase at greater rates during the coming days as the offers continue.

Summer sales

In detail, the consumer, Salah Abdel Rahman, said that “the summer discount offers, which were launched last Thursday and continue in shopping centers in Dubai, have had positive effects in opening up areas for shopping and buying gifts before the summer holiday travel season for many families,” pointing out that “the continuation of offers in shopping centers is one of the positive aspects that provide consumers with the opportunity to purchase multiple times, by repeatedly visiting the centers, and not committing to a specific time for purchase and having to crowd the centers.”

The consumer, Mahmoud Azmi, said, “The summer sale offers witnessed high rates of demand from consumers, which was evident in the queues at the stores and parking lots in the centers, especially since these sales represent a good opportunity for consuming families to buy supplies and gifts for the holiday season at reasonable prices,” noting that “ready-made clothes, shoes, and perfumes accounted for the largest shares of the sales, which is one of the positive aspects, as these products are among the most in demand for the majority of consumers.”

The consumer, Tamer Hussein, added that “offering discounts during the current period has provided families with shopping opportunities to purchase their supplies for the summer holiday season and to buy gifts, especially clothing, shoes and perfume products, which accounted for large shares of the discounts,” pointing out that “the continuation of discount offers for a long period in shopping centers is a positive aspect, while allowing consumers the opportunity to buy over multiple periods and repeatedly visit the shopping center to choose gifts.”

Manifestations of recovery

For his part, the sales official at one of the clothing outlets, Raj Mahesh, said, “The discount offers that were recently launched in the markets were reflected in the recovery of demand for retail outlets in Dubai, as they increased demand rates at high rates from consuming families who tend to take advantage of the discount offers to buy supplies and gifts for the summer holiday season,” pointing out that the sales growth rate exceeds 30% compared to previous periods.

The sales official at one of the clothing, shoes and leather products outlets, Muhammad Bashir, added that “the discount offers offered during the current period have contributed to reviving the retail trade sector at great rates, which was demonstrated by the increased demand from families and customers in stores to buy gifts, which contributed to an increase in sales by about 30% compared to previous periods, and the pace of demand is expected to increase with the continuation of offers in shopping centers during the coming days,” pointing out that the increasing shares of clothing and shoes from the discount offers comes in light of the fact that these products are the most in demand. With consumers.

The sales official at one of the electronics trade outlets, Joy Baiju, explained that “the current period is witnessing a remarkable boom and recovery in sales in the retail trade sector, with the support of the sales offers recently launched in the markets, which have stimulated many dealers to buy gifts during the summer holiday season,” expecting that the sales will contribute to an increase in sales at rates of up to 30% compared to previous periods.
