She pointed out that it is mandatory to pay the fine by the violating person or his representative, stressing that imposing or paying the fine does not prejudice the right of Etihad Rails to refer the violation to the competent authorities in the country, including the Public Prosecution, or take any other legal measures in accordance with the applicable laws, which may include imposing additional penalties and/or imprisonment where applicable.

The fines in the table included a number of violations, each amounting to a fine 200 AED, including: throwing waste, putting your feet on train seats, traveling without a valid ticket, and occupying reserved seats without a permit.

While the fine for smoking, inhaling smoking products, or using electronic smoking devices in any place where this is prohibited, including trains and stations, is 500 Dirham.
