Shakhbut bin Nahyan meets with the President of the Republic of Ghana

Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, in the capital, Accra, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Ghana.

At the beginning of the meeting, he conveyed to the Ghanaian President the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and their wishes for Ghana and its friendly people further progress and prosperity.

For his part, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office, and his wishes to the UAE government and people for further development and growth.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation in priority sectors, especially the economy, trade, investment, artificial intelligence, energy, mining, agriculture, and logistics services.

Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan stressed that the Republic of Ghana represents an important partner for the UAE in West Africa, pointing out the promising opportunities that relations between the two countries have to expand areas of cooperation, in a way that supports sustainable development and common interests.

The two sides also reviewed a number of files of common interest, and ways to advance bilateral relations to broader horizons during the next stage.
