"Etihad Airways" Expands its network in Africa through a new partnership with FastJet Zimbabwe

Harare, 7 July / WAM / Today in Harare, Etihad Airways and FastJet Zimbabwe signed a memorandum of understanding to conclude a new interline partnership between them, in addition to a code-sharing agreement, and a frequent flyer loyalty program agreement, with ticket sales starting next August 24.

This cooperation enhances air connectivity, allowing passengers to reach the destinations to which the two companies currently operate, within a single ticket.

Under the agreement, Etihad Airways guests traveling to Harare will be able to continue their journeys on FastJet Zimbabwe flights to Bulawayo, Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, within one booking and one ticket combining the two carriers.

This agreement comes as a continuation of the launch by Etihad Airways of its direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Harare, starting March 24, 2027, as the carrier expands the scope of its services beyond the Zimbabwean capital to include Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, providing its guests through its global network with a seamless way to reach these destinations.

The agreement also allows passengers traveling on FastJet Zimbabwe flights to reach Abu Dhabi and benefit from Etihad Airways’ extensive network covering destinations in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. FastJet Zimbabwe will become the 32nd partner of the Etihad Guest programme.
