European stocks rise with support from the technology sector amid volatile trading

European stocks rose in volatile trading on Thursday, supported by a recovery in technology stocks.

The European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.4% to 638.66 by 0710 GMT, as technology stocks rose 1.6%, to be among the best performing sectors.

Shares of electronic chip companies, such as "Siltronic" 7.4%, and shares rose ‌"I made you happy" 5.5%, and shares also rose "A.S.M.L" 2.5%.

The sector had temporarily lost momentum after achieving its strongest quarterly performance in June since 2001, and today’s gains indicate a temporary decline in investors’ concerns about rising valuations.

This sector remains the worst performing sector on the index since the beginning of the month.
