The UAE affirms its full solidarity with Qatar and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its security

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a phone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Qatar.

During the call, all regional developments were discussed, and His Highness and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani expressed their strong condemnation of the targeting of the Qatari tanker “Al-Rakyat” while it was crossing near the Strait of Hormuz, and the continued aggressive Iranian attacks targeting commercial ships in the Strait, which represents a serious threat to the safety and security of international navigation, and undermining the security and stability of one of the most vital waterways in the world.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with the sister State of Qatar, and its support for all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability and protect its people and those residing on its land, stressing that the security of the State of Qatar is an integral part of the security of the UAE and the Arab Gulf states.

During the phone call, the two sides also reviewed the efforts made to enhance the security and stability of the region.
