Abdullah Al Sharqi opens the Al Qaidh Agricultural Products and Honey Exhibition 2026 in Dibba Al Fujairah

Fujairah, 9 July / WAM / Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, today opened the activities of the Al Qayd Agricultural Products and Honey Exhibition 2026, in its first edition, which is organized by the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Dibba Society for Culture, Arts and Theater, at the Dibba Exhibition Center in Fujairah.
The opening ceremony included a speech by His Excellency Sultan Al-Hindassi, Director General of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of heritage, cultural and artistic events that attracted visitors, including folk art performances and traditional singing performances, in addition to various activities that reflected the cultural heritage of the region and added a festive atmosphere to the event.
Al-Hindassi stressed that the exhibition represents one of the qualitative initiatives through which the Chamber seeks to support the agricultural sector and empower farmers and productive families, noting that the event reflects the importance of partnership between various governmental and private agencies in enhancing food security and consolidating the concepts of sustainability.
He said that the exhibition contributes to highlighting the quality of national products and opening new marketing horizons for producers, in a way that supports the UAE’s directions towards developing a sustainable agricultural sector capable of achieving added economic value and preserving the local agricultural heritage.
The exhibition will be held from July 9 to 11, as part of the efforts aimed at supporting local farmers, enhancing the sustainable food security system, and highlighting the national agricultural and honey products for which the Emirate of Fujairah and its surrounding areas are famous.
The exhibition witnessed wide participation from farm owners, honey producers, and owners of agricultural reserves, who displayed a variety of seasonal agricultural products, including dates, mangoes, and bananas, in addition to high-quality local honey products, reflecting the development of the agricultural sector and its role in supporting the national economy.
The exhibition aims to provide a platform that brings together producers, consumers and those interested in the agricultural sector, which contributes to enhancing marketing opportunities for local products, encouraging the exchange of experiences and best agricultural practices, as well as supporting innovation and sustainability in agricultural production and beekeeping.
A number of participants in the exhibition praised the organizational level of the event and the large turnout of visitors, stressing that it represents an important opportunity to introduce national products and expand the network of relationships with consumers and bodies supporting the agricultural sector, which contributes to opening new markets for local products and enhancing their competitiveness, in addition to exchanging experiences between farmers and honey producers in a way that supports the development of production and achieving sustainability.
The opening was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Suroor Al Sharqi, Member of the Federal National Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, along with a number of Their Excellencies, officials and representatives of the participating entities.
