Dibba Municipality displays innovative initiatives to support sustainability at Al Qaidh 2026 Exhibition

Fujairah, 10 July / WAM / During its participation in the Al Qaidh Agricultural Products and Honey Exhibition 2026, the Municipality of Dibba reviewed a package of its services and innovative initiatives in the agricultural and environmental fields, aiming to support sustainable development and enhance the efficiency of natural resource management, in line with the country’s trends in achieving environmental sustainability and food security.
The municipality highlighted a number of projects and practices that it applies to support the agricultural sector, in addition to reviewing its awareness and guidance services directed to farmers and community members, and its role in enhancing awareness of the importance of preserving environmental resources and adopting sustainable agricultural practices.
The municipality presented a model for the “From Earth to Earth” project, which aims to transform food waste into natural organic fertilizer through innovative recycling systems, which contributes to reducing organic waste and utilizing it to support the soil and improve agricultural production, and enhances the concepts of circular economy and environmental sustainability.
The municipality also reviewed its efforts to protect palm trees from agricultural pests, by introducing the latest methods used in early detection of infections and combating the red palm weevil, in addition to disseminating the best preventive practices that help preserve agricultural wealth and sustain palm production.
