Cooperation between "Dubai Health" and"Rush University System" To enhance the quality of health care

DUBAI, July 10, 2017 (WAM) – Dubai Health has signed a cooperation agreement with the Rush University Medical System, which is ranked among the best academic health systems in the United States of America in terms of quality, patient outcomes, and safety standards, with the aim of enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences to improve the quality of health care in accordance with international best practices.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Amer Sharif, Executive Director of Dubai Health, Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Dr. Omar Latif, CEO of the Rush Medical University System and CEO of Rush University Medical Centre, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority.
The agreement aims to improve the quality of health services, improve patient outcomes, and support a culture of continuous learning, in addition to exchanging experiences, supporting the research, innovation and digital health system, applying international quality and safety standards, in addition to developing the skills of cadres in the medical and nursing fields and allied and leadership health professions.
Dr. Amer Sharif expressed his pride in the partnership with the “Rush Medical University System”, which represents a qualitative addition to our journey towards establishing a model of health care that improves human health, as the agreement comes to support the transformation in the health care sector through the integration of expertise between the two sides to improve the quality of services and enhance patient safety.
He added that the partnership will contribute to supporting our integrated academic health system by linking care, learning, discovery, and developing professional skills in various specializations, in addition to advancing the process of scientific research, which contributes to preparing qualified cadres to lead the future of the health sector and enhances Dubai’s position as a global center in the field of health care.
Dr. Omar Latif said that the strategic partnership with Dubai Health represents an important platform for improving the quality of care and the experience and safety of patients. It also opens broader horizons for exchanging knowledge and integrating experiences to benefit patients and contribute to improving the quality of life.
