The Chairman of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council wins the World Summit on the Information Society 2026 Champion Award

GENEVA, July 10, 2017 (WAM) – His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council, won the “WSIS Champion 2026” award during his participation in the work of the Artificial Intelligence for Good Summit and the World Summit on the Information Society 2026 Forum, in recognition of the contributions of the StaySafe Nation program of the Cybersecurity Council.
This honor embodies the UAE’s advanced position in the field of cybersecurity and its efforts to establish a culture of digital awareness and promote the safe and responsible use of technology in a way that supports building a safer and more sustainable digital society.
The award came in recognition of the excellence of the StaySafe Nation program in raising the level of awareness of cybersecurity among various segments of society, enhancing the ethical dimensions of the information society, and its contribution to supporting initiatives aimed at building a safe and comprehensive digital future in keeping with the rapid developments in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
This achievement confirms the international appreciation for the efforts made by the Cybersecurity Council in developing national initiatives aimed at enhancing digital security and establishing best practices in the field of cyber protection in a way that enhances the UAE’s leadership in building a safe and reliable digital system.
