Handling 14.3 million tons of goods through Saudi ports during June
Declared General Ports Authority "Ports " The total tons handled during June 2026 amounted to 14,344,915 tons, a decrease of 38% compared to 23,030,636 tons in the same period of last year 2025.
The total amounted to General cargo821,952 tons, liquid bulk cargo 5,586,440, and solid bulk cargo 2,363,394 tons.
Handling containers
numbers recorded Containershandling decreased by 35.76%, reaching 500,812 TEUs, compared to 696,838 TEUs in the same period last year.
The total number of incoming containers decreased by 32.89%, reaching 176,667 TEUs, compared to 263,257 TEUs.
The total number of outgoing containers decreased by 32.89%, reaching 176,667 TEUs, compared to 263,257 TEUs. 46.37% to reach 144,036 standard containers compared to 268,584 standard containers, and transshipment containers decreased by 23.08% to reach 126,917 containers compared to 164,998 containers last year.
Passenger numbers
Passenger numbers recorded a decrease of 24.60% to reach 59,380 passengers, compared With 78,753 passengers last year, navigation traffic decreased by 21.65% to reach 1,086 ships, compared to 1,386 ships in the same period last year, while the number of vehicles decreased by 22.78% to reach 58,256 vehicles compared to 75,437 vehicles last year.
The ports received 697,657 heads. Livestock, a decrease of 27.27% compared to 959,188 heads of livestock in the same period last year.
It is noteworthy that the ports supervised by the General Ports Authority recorded the handling of 14,380,662 tons during the month of May 2026 AD, and the total general cargo reached 471,078 tons, liquid bulk goods 5,494,283 and bulk cargo. Students: 2,403,475 tons.
