"Emsteel" It enhances the readiness of Emirati talent to lead the future of the industry by empowering 600 employees

ABU DHABI, 14 JULY / WAM / The Emsteel Group has confirmed the continued strengthening of its role in supporting and empowering Emirati talent, through an integrated system for preparing national competencies and qualifying them with the technical and leadership skills necessary to keep pace with the future of the industrial sector.
Engineer Saeed Ghumran Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emsteel, said that this system supports about 600 Emirati employees in the group, in addition to students and graduates, through professional development programs, digital learning, guidance, and practical training, which enhances the readiness of Emirati youth and supports the building of sustainable career paths within the group.
He added that investing in national competencies is a fundamental focus of Emsteel’s strategy, based on our belief that people are the basic foundation for achieving sustainable growth. Through our specialized programs, we are keen to provide a stimulating work environment that allows Emirati youth to develop their skills, gain practical experience, and contribute effectively to the process of growth and development of the industrial sector in the country.”
The “Masar Competency Development Program” comes at the forefront of Emsteel’s initiatives to develop Emirati talent and provides graduates with an integrated platform that combines personal skills development, technical qualification, and practical learning.
Since its launch in 2024, the program has contributed to the development of 167 Emirati employees, and is currently working to qualify 47 participants among its latest batches, as part of Emsteel’s ongoing efforts to prepare a new generation of qualified national competencies capable of leading the future of the sector.
At the same time, Emsteel continues to strengthen the link between education and the labor market through its practical training program, which during 2026 provided training opportunities for 30 students from five national academic institutions, including the Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi University, Khalifa University, and the United Arab Emirates University.
Within the framework of building a culture of continuous learning, the group implements the Knowledge Circles, Mastery, and Guidance initiatives that provide opportunities for peer learning, guidance, and professional guidance, and contributed to supporting 99 employees at the beginning of their careers.
Emsteel also supports the development of future leaders through the Future Leaders and Development Program (FORGE), where 65 employees have completed the Future Leaders Programme, while 15 high-potential Emirati employees are participating in the Forge and Development Program to develop their leadership skills.
Emsteel also employs modern technologies to enhance the learning experience, as the LinkedIn learning platform plays a pivotal role in enabling more than 400 young employees to develop future skills and build specialized career paths that keep pace with their aspirations and the needs of the future labor market.
The group also supports the development of technical expertise through participation in the SteelChallenge competition of the World Iron and Steel Association, in which more than 50 students and 20 employees participate annually, in addition to learning programs based on augmented and virtual reality and simulation, and the Electrical Systems and Industrial Automation Laboratory, from which more than 20 Emirati employees and trainees benefited from developing their skills in industrial automation and electrical control technologies.
These initiatives reflect Emsteel’s commitment to continuing its national role in investing in Emirati talent and empowering young people to possess the skills that qualify them to lead the future of industry, in line with the UAE’s vision of building a sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation and enhancing the country’s position as a global center for advanced industry.
