Flydubai adds a second daily flight to Bangkok

Flydubai announced the operation of a second daily flight to the Thai capital, Bangkok, starting July 18.

The company stated that this additional service comes a few weeks after the launch of the company’s daily flights to Don Mueang International Airport, on July 1, to provide its passengers with more diverse options and better connectivity to the Thai capital during the busy summer travel season.

With the launch of its second daily flight to Bangkok, flydubai is enhancing its services in the Thai market to reach 21 flights per week, including increasing its flights to Krabi, to become a daily flight.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Regional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Flydubai, said: “Just a few weeks after Bangkok joined our list of destinations, we are pleased to enhance the growing demand for this vital destination by adding a second daily flight from Dubai, as Don Mueang International Airport provides easy access to central Bangkok, making it an attractive option for travelers who want to make the most of their time in the city, especially during the busy summer travel season.”

He added: “This additional service provides greater flexibility and wider travel options, as we are always committed to enhancing air connectivity and supporting Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.”

The new flights will be operated as part of the codeshare flights between “Flydubai” and “Emirates Airlines”, allowing passengers to benefit from smoother flight paths, a single ticket, the ability to easily check in luggage, and access to a wide shared network that includes more than 240 destinations. “Flydubai” flights to Bangkok will also be operated from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, with two flights a day to Don Mueang International Airport.

According to Flydubai, round-trip business class ticket prices from Dubai to Bangkok start at 12,000 dirhams, while basic economy class ticket prices start at 2,600 dirhams. Round-trip business class ticket prices from Don Mueang Airport to Dubai start at 91,000 Thai baht, and basic economy class ticket prices start at 21,000 Thai baht. Flydubai noted that in addition to enhancing its services to Bangkok, it has recently launched flights to Benghazi in Libya, while its flights are scheduled to begin to Aleppo in Syria, starting July 20, and to Pokhara in Nepal, starting September 23.
