Ibn Tawq: The day of the era of union embodies the meanings of unity and cohesion

ABU DHABI, 17 JULY / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, confirmed that “Union Era Day” embodies the meanings of unity and cohesion that formed the firm approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, when they met on July 18, 1971 and signed the union document and the state constitution, laying the foundation stone for the establishment of the union edifice. And establishing a homeland that embraces its people under one flag and provides them with the means of decent living and building the future.
His Excellency said on this occasion: “This precious national occasion, which was approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, represents an important milestone in which we restore the values on which the UAE’s renaissance and its unique development experience were built, foremost of which is belonging and loyalty to the wise leadership and joint and sincere work for the advancement of the nation and the strengthening of national identity, which reflects the ability of the people of the Emirates to transform ambitions into achievements that serve people and society.”
His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq added: “The UAE’s journey has proven that the era of the Union constitutes a sustainable approach that has led the country to achieve qualitative achievements, and that its established values still constitute the main engine of the path of progress and prosperity… Today, in light of the accelerating global changes, the UAE is moving confidently towards a prosperous future in various fields, especially in the economic field.”
His Excellency said: “On this occasion, we renew our resolve, inspired by the path of the founding father and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, and the directives of our wise leadership. We pledge to continue working to develop the best economic initiatives and policies that support sustainable growth and promote the building of a more innovative and competitive economy, in a way that supports achieving the goals of the (We Are the Emirates 2031) vision for the Emirates to be among the best countries in the world in various fields.”
