The National and Reserve Service Employment Exhibition concludes its 9th session

Dubai, July 17 / WAM / The activities of the 9th edition of the National and Reserve Service Employment Exhibition, which was held under the auspices of the National and Reserve Service Authority, concluded today over three days at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai.
More than 55 entities from the governmental, private and semi-governmental sectors participated in the exhibition, along with 9 higher education institutions, with the aim of supporting and empowering national and reserve service recruits and enhancing their readiness to join the labor market and complete their educational journey.
During the three days of the exhibition, the participating entities presented career opportunities, initiatives and programs aimed at qualifying and empowering national and reserve service recruits to contribute to various vital sectors in a way that supports sustainable development efforts and enhances the competitiveness of the UAE.
The exhibition provided more than 20,000 job opportunities in addition to more than 12,000 educational opportunities, giving National Service recruits and graduates various options to build their professional and academic futures.
It is an integrated platform that helps the conscript, after the end of national service, choose the path that suits his ambitions, whether by joining civil or military agencies or completing his studies in participating higher education institutions, in a way that enhances the readiness of Emirati youth to contribute to the national development process.
The exhibition also provided an integrated platform for employment, guidance and professional development, which enhances the integration between educational outcomes and labor market needs and contributes to empowering national competencies and opening new horizons for them in various sectors.
Giving young people the opportunity to learn about professional and educational paths that are compatible with their ambitions, whether they wish to join the labor market or continue their studies, as an embodiment of the wise leadership’s approach to investing in national competencies, based on the belief that true investment is investment in the human element.
The exhibition witnessed a large turnout from national and reserve service recruits and graduates, as the pavilions of the participating entities attracted large numbers of people seeking job opportunities and completing their studies.
Many agencies conducted preliminary employment interviews and provided visitors with an explanation of the jobs, required specializations, and application mechanisms, amid great interaction from young people who were keen to learn about the available professional and educational opportunities, thus enhancing their readiness to embark on their professional and academic careers.
Salem Saif Al Balushi, Senior Student Recruitment Specialist at the United Arab Emirates University, confirmed that the university’s participation comes within the framework of its keenness to create direct channels of communication with recruited students to introduce the conditions and criteria for admission and the academic programs available.
Al Balushi pointed out that the university’s platform witnessed a great demand, pointing out that the admission requirements were recently updated, and he invited recruits to visit the platform to learn about the new specializations, as the university includes 9 colleges offering 53 bachelor’s specializations, in addition to the College of Graduate Studies (Master’s and Doctorate) in response to the vision of the wise leadership and the education market in the country.
For her part, Moza Al Mahrezi, Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Human Resources Department at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, explained that the bank is keen to have a continuous presence in this exhibition with the aim of attracting talented and promising national cadres, and providing pioneering career opportunities that contribute to building their professional future, and in a way that directly supports the process of development and Emiratization in the banking sector in the country.
For his part, First Lieutenant Saif Fadel Al Suwaidi, Director of the Recruitment Branch at the Ministry of Interior, indicated that the Ministry’s participation was represented in attracting specialized and qualified human cadres from national service recruits in various scientific specializations and required fields.
Al Suwaidi described the participation as very positive, confirming that a large number of highly qualified recruits were received throughout the exhibition days, and the applicants’ data was registered electronically in preparation for completing their appointment procedures.
For his part, Dr. Yasser Al Wahidi, President of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy, stressed the importance of being present at the exhibition, explaining that the Academy – with the support of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group – offers distinguished scholarships covering the specializations of “Maritime Navigation” and “Maritime Engineering” and extending for three and a half years, during which the student receives a lucrative monthly stipend with a job guarantee upon graduation.
Al-Wahidi added that the localization of this sector represents a fundamental pillar, as 90% of the goods and trade in the country pass through the sea, which is in line with the heritage and culture of the Emirati people, which is historically linked to the sea.
Ibrahim Al Zaabi, First Vice President of ADNOC Technical Academy, expressed his happiness to participate as a strategic partner in the exhibition, to showcase the technical programs that keep pace with the needs of the energy sector.
Al Zaabi explained that the academy aims to introduce Emirati youth to the training opportunities available to prepare qualified national cadres, stressing ADNOC’s firm commitment to supporting the country’s efforts in recycling competencies and continuing the path of sustainable development.
In the same context, Marwan Al Bastaki, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Human Resources at Emirates Global Aluminium, said that the company is keen on periodic participation to attract recruits to work in the aluminum sector, which is the largest industrial sector in the country after oil and gas.
Al Bastaki praised the efficiency and readiness of the national service recruits and their physical and medical fitness, pointing out that the company provides 4 basic training programs in factory operations and maintenance, with a duration ranging from 6 months to 3 years, aiming to hone their technical skills to become experts in this vital industry immediately after they graduate and join the company family.
It is noteworthy that the National Service Employment Exhibition continues to consolidate its position as a leading national platform that brings together young competencies of National Service graduates and employers, thus contributing to accelerating the pace of Emiratisation and pumping new, qualified blood into various vital sectors in the country.
