ABU DHABI, 18 JULY / WAM / His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed that the Era of the Union Day represents a historic national milestone in which we recall the exceptional vision of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, who on July 18, 1971, laid the solid foundations for the union of the Emirates, by signing the document of the union and the Emirates Constitution, and announcing the name of the state. The United Arab Emirates, in a historic step that embodied the strength of will, unity of destiny, and belief in the union.

He said that the Era of the Union Day represents a national opportunity in which we renew our adherence to the values on which our country was founded, foremost among which are unity, cohesion, and joint work. Since that era, the UAE has continued to build a pioneering development model that has strengthened its position as a global center for investment and innovation and an active partner in the global economy, while the achievements achieved today reflect the fruit of that forward-looking vision.

He added: We remember with pride the moment when the vision turned into reality, and the era turned into a country that became a global model in development and competitiveness, and we draw inspiration from the values of determination and solidarity to continue supporting the process of progress and prosperity led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and to strengthen the UAE’s position among the most advanced and prosperous countries in the world.

His Excellency stressed that this national anniversary enhances confidence in the future and pushes various sectors, entities, institutions and the business community to continue contributing to the process of comprehensive development and sustainable leadership.
