"Sharjah Electricity" The project to deliver natural gas to Dibba Al-Hisn is completed
Sharjah, 18 July / WAM / The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority completed the project to connect natural gas service to the city of Dibba Al Hisn at a total cost of 35 million dirhams, in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, to implement an integrated project to connect natural gas service to the city of Dibba Al Hisn according to the best specifications.
The natural gas delivery project for the city of Dibba Al-Hisn is divided into 3 main projects that were implemented in parallel, including the establishment of a natural gas pumping station operating on the virtual line system, in addition to the implementation of a 46-kilometre-long natural gas network, covering the areas of the Northern District, the Western District, Al-Hisn Island, and Al-Dub District. The project also included the implementation of internal connections for about 200 residential units, with the installation of smart meters, ensuring that the natural gas service reaches directly to subscribers, and enhancing the efficiency of managing and measuring consumption.
Engineer Ibrahim Al Balgouni, Director of the Natural Gas Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, explained that the implementation of this project comes within the Authority’s strategic plan to provide clean and sustainable energy to all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah and contributes to achieving sustainable development in the city of Dibba Al Hisn. The project was implemented using the latest technologies and specifications, with the application of control and monitoring systems that guarantee the safety and flow of gas around the clock.
He pointed out that natural gas provides a safe, economical and environmentally friendly alternative compared to traditional gas cylinders, which contributes to reducing carbon emissions and supporting environmental sustainability.
