An American soldier was killed in Iraq

US Central Command said that an American soldier was killed yesterday, Saturday, “during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance” in northern Iraq. She added in a statement issued today, Sunday, that “those munitions” belonged to “an Iranian attack drone that was shot down.”
