In support of quality of life… government agencies unite their efforts in the “Dubai Mallathon”

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai brought together a number of government agencies in a group participation within the “Dubai Mulathon” initiative, which was held in Mirdif City Center, with the participation of the Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Aisha Abdullah Miran, the Director General of the Dubai Community Development Authority, Hessa bint Issa Bu Humaid, the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Alawi Al Sheikh Ali, the Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, and the Director of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defence, Khalifa Rashid. Al Hameli, in addition to the participation of Dubai Health, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government, in addition to people of determination and senior citizens, in an event that embodied the spirit of partnership and integration between government agencies, and established the importance of joint work in supporting initiatives that enhance health and quality of life.
Representatives of government agencies participated in a group walking event inside Mirdif City Centre, in an atmosphere characterized by liveliness and interaction, which reflects Dubai’s keenness to establish a culture of physical activity, encourage community members to adopt healthy lifestyles, and make walking a part of their daily practices, to enhance the quality of life and community well-being.
This participation comes within the “Dubai Mulathon” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, with the aim of establishing a culture of walking and encouraging community members to practice physical activity by providing suitable indoor environments in commercial centers during the summer, in a way that supports Dubai’s goals in building a healthier society and consolidating quality of life as an approach and lifestyle.
Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Aisha Abdullah Miran, said: “The quality of life is built through partnership and joint work, and from this standpoint, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority was keen to make its participation in the (Dubai Mallathon) initiative a platform that brings together government agencies around one societal goal, believing that the integration of efforts is the basis for establishing a culture of health and physical activity, and embodies the Dubai model of integrated government work that puts people at the heart of development.”
Miran added: “We are proud of the participation of people of determination and senior citizens in this initiative, because building a healthier society begins with involving all segments of society, and enabling them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles, which enhances their well-being and makes quality of life a daily practice and a sustainable lifestyle.”
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai also expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to all participating government agencies, valuing their cooperation and interaction and the contribution they made to the success of this initiative and achieving its societal goals.
This participation reflects Dubai’s approach to unifying the efforts of government agencies around community initiatives, establishing a culture of physical activity, and enhancing the quality of life, establishing a model of integrated government work that puts people at the heart of development and enables various segments of society to adopt healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, stressed that enhancing the quality of life begins with building a society in which efforts are integrated to create environments that encourage community members to interact and adopt healthy lifestyles, noting that these initiatives embody Dubai’s approach to putting people at the heart of development.
Buhumaid said: “The Community Development Authority in Dubai is keen to support initiatives that strengthen community ties, and provides all segments of society with opportunities to participate in activities that contribute to consolidating health, encouraging positive communication, and enhancing the quality of life. The Dubai Mulathon initiative represents a model of government partnership that unites efforts to achieve a sustainable community impact.”
She added: “We believe that building a more prosperous society begins with integrating roles between government agencies, and providing initiatives that enhance human well-being and expand opportunities for community participation, in line with the objectives of (Dubai Social Agenda 33) in building a more cohesive and sustainable society.”
For his part, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali, said: “The Dubai Mulathon initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, reflects Dubai’s approach to transforming visions into practical initiatives that touch people’s lives and support the adoption of more active and healthy lifestyles. Health is built through daily practices and environments that encourage community members to Movement, and we at the Dubai Health Authority are proud to participate in this initiative, and we call on community members to participate in it and make movement a part of their daily lives, as this has a direct impact on their health and quality of life.”
Director General of Dubai Municipality, Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, said: “The Dubai Mulathon initiative brings with it health, social and economic gains, and our participation in its activities represents a direct confirmation of our keenness to support all initiatives and campaigns, which motivate community members to adopt the culture and practices of healthy living, including physical activities and fitness, and encourage them to make optimal use of various facilities during the summer, in addition to turning walking into a daily practice in Dubai society, which reflects positively on public health.” Quality of life, well-being and community communication, and one of the most important goals of our services and projects in Dubai Municipality is to prepare and design public spaces such as parks, facilities and beaches to be comprehensive spaces that encourage walking and various types of physical sports, to promote a healthy lifestyle and contribute to raising the quality of life in the emirate.”
Director of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defense, Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, said: “The participation of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defense in the Dubai Mulathon initiative is consistent with the directives and support of His Highness the Minister of Defense aimed at establishing a culture of sports and physical activity and enhancing the quality of life in society. This initiative embodies a pioneering model of integration between government agencies in supporting national initiatives aimed at establishing healthy lifestyles and encouraging community members to make physical activity part of their daily practices, which contributes to building a healthier society.” It is vital and reflects the state’s vision of investing in people as the focus of development and the basis of its sustainability.”
Executive Director of Dubai Health, Dr. Amer Sharif, stressed that: “Dubai Health’s participation alongside partners from government agencies in the Dubai Mulathon initiative embodies the importance of joint work in supporting initiatives that encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles, which contributes to enhancing community health and achieving the goals of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which aims to consolidate Dubai’s position as one of the best cities in the world in terms of quality of life.”
The Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Mishal Abdulkarim Julfar, said: “Our participation in the (Dubai Mulathon) initiative is an embodiment of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services’ keenness to support national initiatives that enhance the quality of life and establish a culture of prevention, by providing supportive community environments that encourage various segments of society to practice physical activity, enhance community cohesion, and dedicate sports as a way of life and sustainable daily practice, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 in building a healthier and more cohesive society.” And comprehensively.”
