12 heart surgeries were performed as part of the first edition of the “Nabadat” 2026 campaign

“Dubai Health” announced that 12 heart surgeries were performed on patients of different age groups, as part of the first edition of the “Nabadat” campaign for the year 2026, which is implemented by “Al Jalila Foundation” in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation, with the aim of providing medical care for patients with heart diseases and deformities in “Dubai Health” hospitals.

Al Jalila Foundation plays a pivotal role in embodying Dubai Health’s vision to advance human health through the integration of the axes of care, learning, discovery, and giving, while the Foundation continues, through its “Aoun” program, to enable patients to obtain specialized health care, and to enhance the impact of charitable and humanitarian work.

The first edition of this year included open-heart surgeries and diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures at Dubai Hospital, and patients continue to receive the necessary medical care and follow-up during the recovery phase.

The “Nabadat” campaign is one of the leading community and humanitarian initiatives, as it provides catheterization and cardiac surgeries for children and adults at Dubai Hospital and Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, in addition to comprehensive care for them.

Executive Director of Al Jalila Foundation, Dr. Amer Al Zarouni, said that the “Nabadat” campaign continues to make a tangible humanitarian impact by enabling patients to obtain specialized health care, in line with Dubai Health’s “Patients First” era.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouei, stressed that the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation continues to support specific health initiatives that create a sustainable humanitarian impact, based on its approach to consolidating the values ​​of giving and serving humanity, and embodying the vision of our wise leadership to make humanitarian work a message of life and hope.

Consultant and Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Dubai Hospital and Medical Director of the “Nabadat” campaign, Dr. Obaid Mohammed Al Jassim, explained that dealing with such cases requires a high level of preparedness and coordination between various medical specialties, especially since some patients had previously undergone three or four surgical operations, noting that over the course of a week the medical team performed between three and four operations daily, achieving positive results thanks to the integration of medical expertise.

Consultant cardiovascular surgeon and leader of the campaign’s medical team, Dr. Zuhair Al-Halis, said: “The value of the ‘Nabadat’ campaign is not limited to performing surgeries, but extends to the positive impact it has on the lives of patients and their families, by providing timely treatment, which gives them comfort and psychological stability. We are keen, in cooperation with various medical teams, to provide integrated care in accordance with the highest international medical standards, giving patients the best chances of recovery and returning to leading their normal lives.”

The “Awn” program, affiliated with Al Jalila Foundation, forms a fundamental pillar in supporting patients who are unable to bear the costs of treatment, by enabling them to obtain the necessary care, especially in cases of life-threatening chronic diseases, such as cancer, heart and kidney diseases, in line with the “Dubai Health” vision of improving human health.
